Hiyoshi
Kyoto Prefectural Hiyoshi Citizens' Forest
Opened in April 2000 to promote regional development through the Hiyoshi Dam. The 128-hectare site features plazas, walking paths, lodging and activity facilities, and the Hiyoshi Town Local History Museum. Since April 2024, it has operated under the nickname "Hapiro! Forest Kyoto," offering various wooded areas, campgrounds, and a dog run, attracting many visitors.

From Kyoto, take the JR San'in Line and get off at Sonobe Station.

Or get off at Hiyoshi Station.
70 minutes on foot from the station; streetcars available.
National Route 9, Sonobe Town, Nantan City At the Esso Gas Station, Sonobe Kawaramachi Intersection Proceed straight onto Prefectural Route 19 toward Hiyoshi. Turn right at Hiyoshi Ohashi Bridge in Hiyoshi Town, Nantan City (signage available). Approximately 9 kilometers from Route 9.
Turn left at Sonobe Interchange on the Kyoto Jukan Expressway (signposted) Approximately 7 kilometers
