Kyoto Taishakuten
Fukujuji Temple, a Soto Zen temple, is located halfway up Mount Taishakuten. The principal image enshrined is Taishakuten (Indra), flanked by statues of Bishamonten (Vaisravana) and Zochoten (Vaisravana). The approach from the entrance to the main hall is an uphill climb of about 700 meters, taking 15 minutes on foot. Along the way, you can also find the "Tora-san Bell." After climbing the final stone steps, you will reach the main hall. Please pass through the ring of fire to pay your respects.A monkey monument serves as the landmark.
