Yagi
Yagi Castle Ruins
This is the site of one of Japan's largest mountain castles, renovated by Akechi Mitsuhide. A bulletin board at the base rest area provides historical information. Enjoy a roughly 40-minute trek to the main keep site at an elevation of 330m (relative height 210m). Remnants of the baileys, moat cuts, and stone walls remain, offering spectacular views from the main keep site. Sea of clouds sometimes appear in winter. The adjacent Kasuga Shrine is also recommended.
