Ono Dam Park

Ono Dam was completed in 1961 (Showa 36) as Kyoto Prefecture's first multipurpose dam, serving flood control and power generation purposes. The dam and its surroundings feature a multipurpose plaza and walking paths. Over 1,000 cherry trees and more than 500 maple trees color the area around the dam lake in vibrant hues each season. Events like the Cherry Blossom Festival in spring and the Maple Festival in autumn draw not only local residents but also many tourists who come to enjoy the natural beauty of Miyama Town.
