Kaya-buki Village is a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, representing Japan's most iconic thatched-roof settlements. Approximately 39 thatched-roof houses stand side by side, preserving a traditional architectural style with over 250 years of history. It displays beautiful seasonal expressions—cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, autumn foliage, and snowy landscapes in winter—and is beloved by many tourists and photographers.
