The gateway to Nantan City, where you can savor history, culture, and cuisine.

About Yagi

The Yagi area is easily accessible from central Kyoto via JR and the Kyoto Jukan Expressway. During the Warring States period, it served as a strategic stronghold in Tamba Province, and the ruins of Yagi Castle still stand today, offering a glimpse into that era and a sense of historical romance. The Oi River flows through the center of town, allowing visitors to enjoy hiking through the pastoral landscape while exploring tourist attractions like shrines and temples.
